mother . stern, calculating and prideful. once a member of ketenramm and galool ja ja's expedition, her role ended not long after the defeat of the skyruin. she took her leave to settle in the area that would become tuliyollal. from there, she would go on to become a highly successful alchemist. kiet is her only biological child & the two have an incredibly fraught relationship.

t'yat evat
youngest sister . bright, inquisitive, rowdy. adopted as an infant when kiet was around sixty years old & subsequently raised by her for the most part. tyat proved to be an excitable and rambunctious child who lead kiet into trouble on her behalf many a time. the pair are still quite close & both still write to each other every week.

naa'shpya
half sister . prudent, discerning, brash, tactless. content to remain at home in yyasulani with her brother and aging father, she still made frequent trips to tuliyollal to visit kiet before she left home. the two of them are quite close despite the almost one hundred year age difference between them. naa'shypa was frequently outspoken in kiet's youth about ecaate's harsh treatment of her.

ardbert
lost lover . brash, angry, heart of gold, loving. what started as an unlikely & uneasy friendship during the struggles of the first would grow into an unexpectedly deep love. the loss of ardbert, despite his soul persisting within her, cut kiet deeply. she still carries that grief close to her chest.

zakepya
ex-boyfriend . polite, forgiving, lazy, gracious. the two of them grew close as zakepya's work often intersected with kiet's work for her mother. tragically when kiet left for old sharlayan, she thought it best that the two of them seperate--that zakepya would be better off finding someone more suitable for himself. kiet would later discover him as an endless in during their race to shut down the meso terminal in living memory.
